With art historian Ingrid Held, AFMO members enjoyed a morning visit at Musée Marmottan Monet. Trompe-l'œil, which is most often associated with painting, tricks the viewer into perceiving painted objects or spaces as real.

As one of the most anticipated exhibitions this winter, AFMO patrons enjoyed an evening visits at the Grand Palais for Chiharu Shiota. The Soul Trembles. The retrospective explores the Japanese artist’s creative path, a career that spans over twenty years.

Before the opening hours, AFMO members enjoyed a private visit of Orsay’s Neo-Impressionist collection, including several representative artworks of the museum.

The 2024 FAB Paris art fair showcased a diverse array of art forms, including antiquities, Old Masters, modern and contemporary art, sculpture, furniture, and decorative arts, spanning from ancient times to the present day.

Paris Photo is the largest international art fair dedicated to the photographic medium and is held each November in the heart of Paris. Since 1997, the Fair's mission is to promote and nurture photographic creation and the galleries, publishers and artists at its source.

AFMO patrons explored the gems of the Musée d'Orsay's decorative arts collections, which offer a global overview of decorative arts from the Second Empire to Art Nouveau.

Laurent Salomé, director of the musée national des châteaux de Versailles et de Trianon, welcomed AFMO guests to "Horse en Majesté," the first major exhibition on the theme of horse and equestrian civilization in Europe.

In June 2024, AFMO hosted two day trips to Normandy. The first explored Le Havre’s rich history, artistic heritage, and stunning coastal scenery. The second trip explored the Abbaye de Jumièges and continued to Rouen and its iconic Cathedral and Musée des Beaux-Arts.

On June 12, 2024, AFMO hosted its annual Springtime Open House in celebration of French-American friendship. As part of the special evening, guests enjoyed a private viewing of Paris 1874. Inventing Impressionism at Musée d’Orsay.

In May 2024, AFMO patrons embarked on a six-day trip to Normandy to celebrate the 150 anniversary of the first exhibition of Impressionist art and to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
