On November 4th and December 9th of 2024, AFMO held two before-hours of the vibrant autumn exhibition “Harriet Backer (1845-1932) The music of colors”.

Though relatively unknown outside of Norway, Harriet Backer was the most renowned female painter of the late 19th century in her home country. She drew inspiration from the realist movement and the innovations of the Impressionists, developing a highly personal style that blends intimate interior scenes with open-air painting.

This unmissable exhibition will be on display at the Musée d’Orsay through 12 January 2025.
