Patron Pass Tour:
Salon du Dessin
On March 27th, AFMO invited a group of members to Palais Brongniart for our annual visit of Salon du Dessin. With 39 exhibitors this year, the 33rd edition of the international art fair includes over 1000 drawings, specializing in Old Master, modern, and contemporary works.
Established in 1991, the Salon du Dessin has become a cornerstone of the Parisian art calendar, often coinciding with other major events like Drawing Now Art Fair, which focuses on contemporary drawing. The Salon is chaired by Louis de Bayser, a prominent figure in the world of collectible drawings.
The 2025 edition brought many highlights, including a special exhibition by the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Reims, which shared selections from its collection while undergoing renovations, and a showcase by the Tavolozza Foundation featuring travel-themed drawings from the Katrin Bellinger Collection. The fair also hosted the Rencontres internationales du dessin, a series of expert talks centered on the theme of travel drawings.
