Pastels. From Millet to Redon

In the fall 2022, AFMO launched an appeal to support this upcoming Pastels. From Millet to Redon exhibition and the English language Pastels album, the first of a new collection to be launched by the Musée d’Orsay.

Our patrons’ generous gifts have been instrumental in making this rare exhibition project a reality: 95 drawings by 50 world renowned artists have been selected in the Musée’s archives. Some of the works to be displayed haven’t seen the light in decades due to the sensitivity of pastel drawing to UV lights.

The Pastels book is available at the Orsay, in the Museum store, and at selected bookstores around the world.
