A Weekend in Paris
Saturday, October 19, 2024
Every autumn, the American Friends of the Musées d’Orsay et de l’Orangerie (AFMO) hosts a benefit weekend and gala evening in support of the Musée d’Orsay and Musée de l’Orangerie. AFMO helps fund special exhibitions, educational programs, gallery improvements, and conservation efforts. In addition, AFMO supports Contemporary Art Programs at both museums which feature artists such as Peter Doig, Laurent Grasso, David Hockney, and Mickalene Thomas.
This year’s Weekend in Paris, which will be held from October 17 through October 20, coincides with Art Basel Paris, an occasion when the Paris art scene takes center state and welcomes the best of the international art market.
On Saturday, October 19, 2024, AFMO will hold an elegant benefit evening at the Musée d’Orsay to mark the closing of both our Impressionist season and the 150th anniversary of Impressionism.
