The creation of the Musée d'Orsay enabled the consolidation of a previously scattered collection of Decorative Arts from the 1850s to 1914, which had often been inadequately displayed in various institutions. Through its acquisition policy, the museum now presents a comprehensive global overview of Decorative Arts from the eclecticism of the Second Empire to the elegance of Art Nouveau.
Please join us to explore the Museum’s Decorative Arts collections on Thursday, September 19 at 9:00 AM.
All invitations are personal and non-transferable.
