AFMO Weekend Cancellation Policy

AFMO GALA WEEKEND 2021

We are very grateful for your generosity and involvement with the American Friends of the Musée d’Orsay’s largest and most important annual fundraiser, supporting the work of the Orsay and Orangerie museums. AFMO aims to be flexible and understanding of changing circumstances while balancing our reliance on critical funds raised by the gala weekend and the funding it provides throughout the year.

We address each cancellation on an individual basis, with general guidelines outlined below. In the event that you are no longer able to join us in Paris, we very much appreciate your consideration of the registration fee as a fully tax-deductible donation to AFMO. As always, we are available to help at any time or answer any questions.

CANCELLATION POLICY

AFMO recommends each participant take out a travel insurance policy on this trip for hotel reservations and flights to cover any fees and penalties due to unexpected cancellations.

Travel recommendations: AFMO has secured special rates at three hotels in Paris: Le Bristol Paris, Le Ritz Paris, and Hotel Lutetia.

Flight and Hotel Bookings and Cancellations: Participants are responsible for making their own flight and hotel arrangements and are subject to the cancellation conditions and policies of each hotel and airline as well as AMFO’s Weekend Event cancellation policy outlined below.

DEADLINES FOR REFUNDS

Cancellations made before September 1: refund of full payment

Cancellations made before September 15: 50% refund of payment; any amount retained is fully tax-deductible to the donor.

Cancellations made after September 15: no refund possible

Should this year’s gala be cancelled due to travel restrictions or circumstances surrounding COVID, donors will have the option to transfer full payment to next year’s gala.
