AFMO Video : James Tissot (1836-1902), Ambiguously Modern
Just before its close on September 13, co-curator Paul Perrin led us on a 20-minute visit that traces the personal and creative steps in the life of Jacques-Joseph, or as we know him, James Tissot (1836 – 1902); brilliant painter between Impressionism and Academism, between his native France and acquired London.
We thank the museum for making this “visit” possible and Paul Perrin for generously and enthusiastically giving his time and expertise.
