The Musée d’Orsay Announces “Orsay Wide Open” Project

We are pleased to share the exciting news about the ‘Orsay Wide Open’ project that has just been publicly announced in Paris and in the U.S. In order to address the goals of enhanced audience outreach and increased accessibility, the Orsay will be modernized and transformed through this important project.  Additional gallery space will be created for Impressionist and post-Impressionist artwork, and centers will be built for school group education and international scholarly research.

This project is groundbreaking for a French museum and AFMO is pleased to partner with the museum in this progressive vision.  Furthermore, with AFMO’s help, the museum has secured a generous lead donation of €20 million made anonymously that will provide critical funding.
